How It Works and FAQ
Where are you located?
We are located just north of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
How do I reserve a puppy?
Send us a message through the form on our Contact page or through our Smitty's Samoyeds on AKC Marketplace listing. We’ll follow up by text or phone, whichever you prefer. A $400 deposit through our business PayPal account reserves your puppy. The deposit is applied to the total price of your puppy.
How much are the puppies?
Males and females cost the same. Prices change with the market so we will confirm the exact price when you contact us.
How do I pay?
Final payment is due at pickup. We prefer cash, but we can also accept payment through our business PayPal account. If a courier is used, full payment is due at courier pickup.
How does pickup work?
Many of our sales come from out of state, and we are happy to meet you or your courier at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
What comes with my puppy?

A licensed veterinarian health check and health certificate, including eyes, heart, and joints

First set of shots and deworming, including the shot record

AKC registration paperwork

A “smelly,” a soft washcloth with the litter’s scent on it

A Ziploc bag of hard puppy food
What health testing do you do on the parents?
The parents of our puppies have passed DNA testing with Wisdom Panel Premium, which covers more than 270 health tests. They have passed all health test points and are cleared for breeding. They also have veterinary clearances for eyes, heart, and hips.
How can I verify that you're a legitimate breeder?
We know buying a puppy online takes trust, and we want you to feel confident.

Our AKC Marketplace listing shows more than 20 years of breeder history without a complaint, the parents’ information, and that our litter is registered, including how many puppies.

We can provide previous buyer references on request.

Deposits are paid through our business PayPal account, and PayPal’s buyer protection policies apply.

We only ask for the balance at pickup, so you don’t pay the rest until you’ve met and held your puppy.

To protect everyone from scams, we do not accept checks, money orders, or other payment apps besides PayPal.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes, we have a guarantee against severe congenital deficiencies.
When are your next litters and when to puppies go home?
Litter timing depends on Mother Nature. We'll provide an update when you contact us. Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are generally non-refundable, but we review each situation individually.
How are the puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised in our home, around cats, and handled by our children every day. They go outside to play and get dirty as the weather permits.
Can I ask for a certain personality?
Personalities such as confidence, shyness, and curiosity begin to show around 7 to 8 weeks of age. Tell us which personality traits you’re looking for, and we can offer suggestions at pickup.
Do you have puppies that became service or emotional support dogs?
Several of our puppies were purchased specifically to become service dogs or emotional support dogs, and many families come back to us for another puppy.
What color are your puppies?
All of our puppies are pure white.
